PHILADELPHIA NAVAL SHIPYARD
Contracting Agent:
AP Construction
Project Location:
Philadelphia, PA
Project Highlights:
Atlantic Concrete Cutting was contracted to wire saw a section of sea wall at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. This was a fairly straightforward job with the exception that that operators had to be on-site at low tide in order to easily string the wire underneath of the sea wall. Also, the wall contained very hard river rock aggregate, which slowed down the sawing quite a bit. The operators also had to deal with the wind, which was blowing the water spray directly at them on a cold January day.
